DNF: Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables - L.M. Montgomery, Jennifer Lee Carrell

I read Anne of Green Gables when I was a young lady, and seeing it on the list of classics for this summer's Audiobook SYNC led to warm feelings of anticipation.  For the first hour or so of listening, I was charmed by the various voices Colleen Winton used to contrast Anne's chatter, Mathew's laconic utterances, and Marilla's introspection.  But after a bit, I felt like I was hearing the same joke retold once too often.  So about the time that Marilla goes into town to try to return Anne, I decided that audioook was not the right medium for me to revisit the world of Green Gables and moved on to listening to something else.
