While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals, middle-grade, and non-fiction.
Winner of the 2016 Schneider Family Book Award for portrayals of the disability experience in the teen category. I'm a bit surprised it was eligible since the book appears to have been first published in Canada in 2013. But I guess it snuck in since it didn't get published in the US until 2015.
It's tired and I'm late, so I don't have anything witty to say. Nor do I have enough personal experience with OCD to know if Ms. Toten is getting the experience at all "right" or just writing superficially to stereotypes. In the end, the protagonist is just a bit too "good" for the story to have really grabbed me.
