It's high summer here! The first picture is produce from my pocket garden. The cucumbers are a bust and the tomatoes are getting a slow start, but I've been getting a handful or so of peas every few days and there are 4 or 5 other okra that will be ready to pick this weekend.
The second picture is the weekly CSA bounty.
Grape Tomatoes (already frozen)
The early peaches are being scarce and spoil easily. They apparently were damaged by the same late frosts that totally destroyed the local pie cherry crop. Apparently the later peach varieties will be fine since they bloomed after the frost.
P.S. The lime pickles from last week are not to my taste - the brine is too sweet. I'll have to try other recipes.
