While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals, middle-grade, and non-fiction.
I seem to be going through a run of adequate non-fiction selections. The latest being Run, Don't Walk, The Curious and Chaotic Life of a Physical Therapist Inside Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Adele Levine fell into physical therapy, and ended up working in the amputee section at Walter Reed Army Medical Center during the height of the recent Afghanistan conflict immediately before the planned closing of Walter Reed. While there are some interesting composite stories of the patients she worked with, I just didn't find this as compelling as the soldier memoirs from a few months back.
