While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals,  middle-grade, and non-fiction.

The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage

The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage: The (Mostly) True Story of the First Computer - Sydney Padua

I loved the opening of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, with the footnotes on the footnotes showing where Sidney Padua drew the information regarding Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace (Better known as Ada Lovelace), Charles Babbage, and the prototype computer known as the Analytical Engine.

Unfortunately the hard-copy volume from the library was too heavy to carry around all day, so I was not able to finish in my limited evening reading time.  I will probably return to it (or read the webcomics) at a later date.
