While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals, middle-grade, and non-fiction.
I heard about the short story anthologies collectively called The Apocalypse Triptich, a few months ago when I listened to the short story Enjoy the Moment by Jack McDevitt on EscapePod. From the description on the anthology website
"Edited by acclaimed anthologist John Joseph Adams and bestselling author Hugh Howey, THE APOCALYPSE TRIPTYCH is a series of three anthologies of apocalyptic fiction. THE END IS NIGH focuses on life before the apocalypse. THE END IS NOW turns its attention to life during the apocalypse. And THE END HAS COME focuses on life after the apocalypse."
I read about 1/3 of the stories over the last month and a half before having to send The End is Nigh back to the library. While I found most of the stories I read well enough at the time, the only ones that have stuck with me are Enjoy the Moment and Bring Her to Me.
