Drowned City: Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans is a graphic novel regarding the tragedy in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. While it's a trite sentiment, I loved how Don Brown's illustrations brought the story to life.

It was challenging to read this during this fall of life-threatening hurricanes. And while the immediate aftermath was less deadly, as I read, I couldn't help wondering how high the death tolls from Harvey, Irma and most especially Maria will eventually be.
