Nightlife - Rob Thurman I've been reading a lot of urban fantasy, and [b:Nightlife|421007|Nightlife (Cal Leandros, #1)|Rob Thurman|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1309287935s/421007.jpg|410136]has nothing to recommend it above the horde. While the main character is tolerably interesting and the first 1/3 of the book is OK, the mid-story plot twist didn't do anything for me, and the final wrap-up with the character divulging info that he just had no reason to know (according to what we've seen in the story) was just poorly done.

While Nightlife is a first novel of [a:Rob Thurman|121825|Rob Thurman|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1310421838p2/121825.jpg], who now has 10 books on the market (implying that his work improves) I probably won't take the time to seek them out.
