While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals,  middle-grade, and non-fiction.

Douglas Carlton Abrams, Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama XIV
Wonderstruck - Brian Selznick I was a big fan of From the Mixed up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankenwieler when I was a kid. While the details of the book have receded too far into memory to catch the allusions sprinkled throughout Wonderstruck, I very much enjoyed this story of a boy's journey through a museum. Along the way, he finds his own history in a charming fashion.

Reading Wonderstruck as an adult, I found the "surprises" in the book predictable, but the charm of the interspersed pictures and text is undeniable.
