While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals,  middle-grade, and non-fiction.

Currently reading

The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World
Douglas Carlton Abrams, Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama XIV
The Squire's Tale - Gerald Morris Gerald Morris has taken all of the Arthurian tropes, put them into a blender and shaken to come up with a new confection of stories centered around Gawain and his young squire Terence. He has the touch, so I found myself saying "is this a story I've read before, or not?" My 3rd grade son read and enjoyed The Squire's Tale. However, unlike some middle-grade and YA fiction, The Squire's Tale couldn't quite hold my adult interest.
