Nice Start to an PNR series

Magic to the Bone - Devon Monk

Magic to the Bone is the enjoyable start to an urban fantasy/paranormal romance series now numbering at least 7 books.  Featuring magic, but no supernatural beings, the book follows heroine Allie Beckstrom as she discovers that the magical world she knew is not the only magical world in her Portland.

I would shelve Magic to the Bone just over the border into PNR due mostly to the consummation scene near the climax of the action.  I'm one who usually prefer sex to be tastefully off-screen, and while Magic to the Bone does include some bedroom scenes, they were enough of a sidenote to the story as to not be intrusive.  I will likely give the next book in the series a try.
