While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals,  middle-grade, and non-fiction.

The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism - K.A. Yoshida, Naoki Higashida, David Mitchell

Didn't quite finish The Reason I Jump before having to return it to the library, since there was a reserve list.  I'm quite pleased with the wide publicity this book is getting and think it is a good introduction to the non-verbal autistic experience.  I hope folks new to the topic go on to read more, especially the wide range of blogs.
