While my first love was SF, I read widely in YA, urban fantasy, police procedurals, middle-grade, and non-fiction.
I normally can't bear to read Holocaust-related fiction, but I saw the audiobook in the "New Titles" listing at my library and I've enjoyed other titles by Anita Diamant. So I decided to give this a try. 1/4 of the way through, it's a bit slow moving and I'm not quite sure where the story is going (much like The Last Days of Dogtown), but I'm hooked on the rich characterization of the people.
